Training for Seniors
Our coaches have experience working with clients up to 90 years old. Whether you have no experience or have been training for years, our coaches will have an appropriate training program ready. There are many modalities of training that are so important as we age. Here are just a few of those modalities and why they are important.
Training to Increase Bone Density
Strength training of any kind has proven to help maintain or increase bone density in all populations but is most important in seniors due bone density decreasing faster
Mobility and Flexibility
As we age, mobility and range of motion can become limited. That limit can potentially lead to injury. Proper training programs do not just focus on strength but can also incorporate exercises to help with flexibility, mobility and range of motion
Strength Training
Important for bone density like mentioned before but strength training is also very important for strengthening soft tissue like muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. Remember your heart is also a vital organ!
